Missing/Stolen from West Side of Eau Claire on Sunday

October 7, 2007.  Dax, German Shorthaired Pointer, 1 year

old, 55 lbs, solid brown with some white ticking on belly

and feet.  His tail is two tone brown; dark brown on lower

half and light brown on upper half.  He was wearing a blaze

orange collar with owner’s name/phone number.  There is

some evidence Dax may have been stolen from his kennel. 

Dax is a family pet and very people friendly.  If you have

seen Dax in your neighborhood or know where Dax is

WHEN YOUR DOG GOES MISSING:

 

1. Contact your local police dept immediately! (& keep calling!)

2. Contact your rescue contact immediately!

3. Get a blanket that smells like home, hanging in an area where the wind can catch scent, so your dog can SMELL home!

4. Contact your local shelter or dog pound with heads up

5. Contact local vets with information of missing dog

6. Get picture fliers made and posted in a good one mile radius

7. Hand out fliers to every business & delivery persons

8. Stay calm, stake your dog out!

9. Call police with EVERY sighting & stay in the area

10. Offer a reward for your dog’s safe return

11. As needed, EXPAND the search area!!  Shorthairs CAN put on miles!
