BOAT MOUNTAIN CLAN
In Feb. ‘06, a fella in Harrison, Arkansas, was busted for neglect & abuse, etc. to 50-60+ hunting breed dogs, the majority of which, have been confiscated (some are still on that mountain); he then committed suicide. POINTERS FROM OZ jumped on the mission, & organized a transport for about 20 of these dogs. WGSPR’s Ingrid & Lisa drove to IL very early AM 3/10/06 to meet ILBDR’s transport & collect 2-GSP’s, 1-pointer momma, & 2-pointer pups. I was one of those dogs! |

In 2006 Miracle joined us with our share of the Boat Mountain Arkansas dogs. So March 10th will always be a special day in our hearts for ALL the dogs we brought into our homes and hearts that night. Miracle stayed with me. She is a joy to all who meet her. She is a true survivor of horror, but it’s not stopping her from enjoying the rest of her life. You can see Miracle at most of our shows, she loves “dress up”, other dogs, treats, hunting mice, and naps. She sleeps in bed every night under the blankets. She is a very spoiled girl, and makes many human & doggie friends along her path! |

Tadahhhh! Momma went back to work this week, which means a few things...me and Jim get locked up when she leaves (as always), that pesky alarm wakes us up too early again, we don’t get as many walks or adventures anymore...and she’s tired again. WTH? Well, I played it like I was sick for the first day, I puked in my crate, give her something extra to do when she got home. Jim decided he would do it too, so that gave her two extra things… and NOW, we decided we just won’t go in our crates when she stands there and screams ‘KENNEL’, we hide! She says URRRGGGHHHH! I was soooo happy when Bob and Chris Nowak surprised us on Sat with a very cool “shorthairs at play” sign they got mom, AND we got some extra petting and massages Chris is sooo good at… Later mom was surveying up the staggering amount of toys we have, so she let us play with all of them one last time, picked out the ones we really like, tossed the junky old ones, and then she bagged up a bunch and we donated them to the rescue dogs. If you have toys still in good shape YOU’D like to donate, email my mom… Reminder, time is short to get your quilt raffle tickets, and if you have not RSVP’d for the reunion, better get moving! Mom says there is planning to be done, head counts to be had…rush rush… same ole same….Until next week…
